As a transitional measure until the Regulation comes into force, it also proposes a roadmap for eco-design and energy labelling for 2022-2024, in particular on electronic devices (such as smartphones, tablets and solar panels).

It also sets out a strategy with measures to promote sustainable and circular textiles by 2030, accompanied by a consultation, lasting until 15 May, on how to support the textile ecosystem during this transition.

Finally, there is a proposal for a revision of the Construction Products Regulation to modernise the rules applied since 2011 and a proposal for a Directive on consumer empowerment to improve information and protection against unfair practices.
