The CEOE participates in the Visitors from Africa programme

Visitantes África

On 26 September, CEOE Vice-President Inés Juste met business and institutional representatives from South Africa, Ghana, Angola and Senegal as part of the “Visitors from Africa” programme, which was organised by the Directorate-General for Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Esther Martín, an advisor to the Directorate-General for Africa, and Miguel Brunete, the CEOE International’s Africa technician.

During the meeting, the African representatives set out the business opportunities in the various sectors in their respective countries. These notably included infrastructure, energy, Fintech and agriculture, among others.

Futures avenues for business collaboration were also sought that could expand the presence of Spanish companies in the continent in terms of investment.

Finally, the latest economic trends in Africa were assessed, such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), value chains, economic diversification and how they are affecting African companies.
