The CEOE meets the Embassy of India to promote economic and business relations between Spain and India
The president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, and the ambassador of India in Spain, Dinesh K. Patnaik, met on 13 July at the CEOE’s head office to identify possible areas of collaboration that would promote economic and business relations between the two countries.

At the meeting, the importance of the Indian market for Spanish companies was stressed. Currently, more than 250 companies operate in India, a figure that has multiplied in the last 5 years. Likewise, more than 6,200 Spanish companies export to the country.
The ambassador expressed his interest in working with the CEOE to expand business cooperation between the two countries. For his part, the president of the CEOE offered the maximum collaboration through the CEOE International department. To this end, an annual plan of activities will be developed to identify new opportunities, bearing in mind that there are many sectors where it is possible to work together.
Both Antonio Garamendi and Ambassador Dinesh K. Patnaik highlighted India’s key role in the Indo-Pacific region. They also agreed as to the importance of promoting a greater exchange of trips and visits by companies from both countries to deepen knowledge of business and investment opportunities, not only from globally but also by assessing each sector and region in more detail.
