CEOE International participates in the Spanish Government’s trip to Australia

On Thursday morning, following a working breakfast between the Spanish companies with the largest footprint in Australia and the Minister, an Australia-Spain Business Meeting was held; it was jointly organised by the Secretary of State for Trade, through ICEX Spain Export and Investment, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE), in collaboration with Austrade, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the European-Australian Business Council (EABC).
 
During the meeting, which was attended by leading institutional representatives of both governments, as well as the Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, and the Australian Minister of Industry and Science, Ed Husic, who closed the event, Spanish and Australian companies learnt in more detail about the potential for collaboration between companies from both countries in sectors including infrastructure, rail, defence and renewable energy. With a particular focus on the states of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. After the meeting, the participants met all the authorities and institutions present.
 
In the afternoon, the President of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, participated in the Minister’s meetings with the Infrastructure NSW and Transport NSW institutions to learn more about the renewable energy and transport infrastructure projects running in the state of New South Wales, where Spanish companies are increasingly present.
