CEOE Internacional travels to Morocco to meet the CGEM

Marta Blanco en Marruecos. CGEM

The President of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, travelled to Casablanca to resume contact with the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM), our counterpart organisation at the IOE, once the borders are reopened and, thus, to identify common initiatives to reinforce bilateral cooperation.

During the country visit, Marta Blanco met CGEM Vice-President General Mehdi Tazi. At this meeting, the two discussed shared interests in the international arena, as well as possible joint initiatives such as the feasibility of organising an economic forum in the coming months. They also referred to the business dealings we share as part of BusinessEurope and MENA-OECD and to the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES).

On the same day, the President of CEOE International held a meeting with the Spanish Economic and Trade Advisor in Casablanca, Manuel Vicente Rodríguez, to learn more about the state of play with Spanish companies in Morocco and the prospects for increasing investment in the country.

The following day, Marta Blanco held a work meeting with Spanish companies, which was attended by the Spanish Economic and Trade Advisors in Casablanca, Manuel Vicente Rodríguez, and in Rabat, Javier Fernández Méndez de Andés. At this meeting, the companies shared their experiences and situation in the country and offered their views on the prospects in Morocco.
