The vice president of CEOE, Juan Pablo Lázaro, said during the meeting that there is still great unrealized potential in terms of bilateral economic and trade relations. However, he pointed out that there are leading companies in sectors such as the chemical industry, railways, energy or infrastructures that, over the last few years, have already been showcasing the opportunities that may lead to joint projects.

In this regard, Lázaro stressed that the geo-strategic location of Uzbekistan, together with the relationship it has with its neighbouring countries, with which it shares important common interests in sectors such as energy, water, cross-border transport or certain infrastructures, are crucial factors to enhance bilateral relations.
