THE GROUP OF ENTREPRENEURS FROM THE EUROPEAN ESC ANALYSES THE FUTURE OF THE EU

The Group of Entrepreneurs from the European Economic and Social Committee, EESC, held an extraordinary meeting at CEOE’s headquarters to analyse the “Future of the European Union from an entrepreneurial perspective”. At the event, they explained that Europe needs to be more coordinated, more consensual, more agile and less bureaucratic.

These requirements were stressed by Jose Vicente Gonzalez, vice-president of CEOE’s Commission on the EU, during his speech, in which he said that the EU Member States and the European institutions must act so that there is greater consensus, more coordination and less regulation, with the latter needed to be much simpler than it is at present.

José Vicente González called for Europe to be true to its commitment with the values that proved essential when the European Union was created, such as respect for freedom, democracy, freedom of enterprise, the rule of law, cohesion and solidarity within and between the Member states.
