SPAIN -PUERTO RICO BUSINESS MEETING

THE COMMISSIONER OF PUERTO RICO AT THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ADVOCATES FOR THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO HELP WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ISLAND

Jennifer González is also in favour of the approval of the agreement to avoid double taxation between Spain and Puerto Rico and promote bilateral investment and trade.

The resident commissioner of Puerto Rico in the US House of Representatives and co-chair of the Congressional Friends of Spain Caucus, Jennifer González Colón, advocates for a more relevant role of the private sector for the development of the island and would like for the agreement to avoid double taxation between Spain and Puerto Rico to be approved, statements she made during a business meeting held at CEOE. Other participants in the meeting included the vice president of the Business Confederation, Joaquim Gay de Montellà; the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Méndez Bértolo; the director general of the Chamber of Commerce, Inmaculada Riera; and the secretary general of the Fundación Consejo España-EE.UU., Manuel Lejarreta.
