SOCIAL AGENTS AGREE ON A PLAN TO ADAPT EMPLOYMENT TO THE REVOLUTION 4.0

The social agents and the Minister for Employment and the Social Security, Fátima Báñez, presented the Agreement on the State Program for the training of workers in digital competencies 2018, a plan endowed with 60 million euros that aims to make the labour market adapt to a disruptive environment in which, for each job that is destroyed, three more will be created.

Fátima Báñez explained that the project has 230 new programs and brings up to date 180 already existing ones. In total, 400 training plans that will allow workers to be trained in 3D printing, Big Data, artificial intelligence, robotics or the Internet of Things.

In fact, the Minister stated that companies are having difficulties finding people with certain professional profiles, despite the fact that there are still three million people looking for a job in Spain. "The most important thing is to place the issue of on-going training of workers in the spotlight," she said.

“The revolution 4.0. will transform how companies are managed, as well as our economy and our way of working; it will transform our most valuable asset, namely, the people, the human capital, " Báñez said.

The vice president of CEOE and president of Cepyme, Antonio Garamendi, said that following the crisis suffered, there are two terms that stand out: digitization and globalization. And that the new revolution "is not industrial, but a revolution of the people." "We are going to try to be the best and once we pursue this goal we will get a good grade", he emphasized. The leader of small and medium entrepreneurs said that "we have to adapt because the people are the ones who lead this revolution."
