A Mexican delegation from the country’s mining sector held a working meeting with entrepreneurs at CEOE to analyse the business and investment opportunities. The meeting at CEOE was headed by the director general of Spain’s Association of Cement Manufacturers -OFICEMEN, Aniceto Zaragoza, and it was also attended by the director of Spain’s Geological and Mining Institute -IGME, Francisco González Lodeiro. Other participants included representatives from Spanish companies such as Tolsa, Typsa, IBC, Cementos Molins or IVC, among others.

The Mexican delegation included the general director of Mexico’s Mining Development Trust, Israel Gutiérrez Guerrero; the general director of the Mexican Geological Service, Raúl Cruz Ríos; the president of Mexico’s Association of Mining Engineers, Metallurgists and Geologists, Marcos Bernal; and the president of Mexico’s Mining Chamber, Daniel Chávez.

The purpose of the meeting was to learn about the current situation of the mining sector in Mexico, its foreseeable behaviour according to the new guidelines issued by the Government headed by Peña Nieto, the investment opportunities for Spanish sectors related to mining, as well as to discuss good practices on both sides of the Atlantic.
