In addition to Rosell, other participants at the event included the Ibero-American Secretary General, Rebeca Grynspan; the ambassador of Guatemala to Spain, Fernando Molina; and top representatives from Telefónica, the COTEC Foundation, BBVA Research, Iberdrola, MAPFRE and Ferrovial. During the event, issues such as "Towards an Ibero-American agenda for the digital economy" or "Contribution of the private sector to the 2030 Agenda; sustainability or CSR " were addressed.

The president of CEOE, Juan Rosell, stressed that, at the next summit in Guatemala, Ibero-American businessmen should pay special attention so that the opinion of the private sector is taken into account in the development and application of the 17 Goals and 169 Objectives of the Agenda 2030. He stressed that "Ibero-American businessmen and their representative organization, CEIB, should clearly state that multilateralism and regional integration are part of the answer to many of the opportunities and challenges we face in the 21st century." Rosell considered it crucial that the countries of the region continue to place special emphasis on improving the business environment, eliminating unnecessary barriers that limit business entrepreneurship, and improving innovation, education and training, in order to increase the competitiveness of companies.
