The event started with an exhibition showing, through information panels, the status of all sections of the works and the benefits of the Mediterranean Corridor: greater employment, more than 20 million people connected, increase of the influx of tourists, boost for the Spanish economy in general and greater mobility, among others.

CEOE’s Chairman, Juan Rosell, also expressed his opinion, stating that the Corridor offered great potential to one of the main driving sectors of the Spanish economy: tourism. A connection throughout the Mediterranean would ease and multiply the national flow of people.
