CEOE PARTICIPATED IN THE TWENTY-SEVENTH BILATERAL SPAIN-JAPAN COMMITTEE FOR TRADE COOPERATION

The Business Confederation was represented by the vice-president of the International Relations Commission, Carmen Planas.

The vice-president of CEOE’s International Relations Commission, Carmen Planas, participated in the opening of the Twenty-Seventh Spain-Japan Committee for Trade Cooperation, organized by the Spanish and Japanese chapter of the Committee, in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Trade.

The event,  which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was also attended by the Secretary of State for Trade, Xiana Méndez Bértolo, the President of the Bilateral Committee’s Spanish chapter, José Manuel Entrecanales; his counterpart in the Japanese chapter, Mikio Sasaki; the director general of International Trade and Investment, José Luis Káiser; the president of the Spanish  Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet; Japan’s Ambassador to Spain, Masashi Mizukami; and top representatives of the main companies from both countries.

The issues addressed included topics such as “Towards a greater link between advanced technology and innovation”, “Promoting cooperation in third markets” and the “Impact of the Spain-Japan Agreement for Economic Cooperation in the economic relations between Spain and Japan”.
