CEOE organized a session on the Spanish health sector

Participants included the president of CEOE’s Health Commission, Carlos González Bosch, and representatives of ICEX, FARMAINDUSTRIA, FENIN, ASPE and COFARES.

Ceoe’s Cabinet of the President and the International and Institutional Department, in collaboration with ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones and the business organizations FARMAINDUSTRIA, FENIN, ASPE and COFARES, organized an informative session on the health sector in Spain, aimed at foreign diplomatic staff present in our country.  The session took place at CEOE’s headquarters, and was led, on the employers’ side, by the President of CEOE’s Health Commission, Carlos González Bosch.

The meeting was also attended by the vice president of GIRP (European Healthcare Distribution Association) and treasurer of the COFARES Group, Alicia Widpret; the director for the Autonomous Communities from FARMAINDUSTRIA, José Ramón Luis Yagüe; the assistant to the General Secretary of the Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies (FENIN), Carmen Aláez; the representative for the Spanish Private Health Alliance (ASPE) and Director of Spaincares, Carlos Abella; and the Director of COFARES International, Luis Esgueva. The session’s closing speech was delivered by the Director of Infrastructure, Health and ICT of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, Jorge Alvar.

At the meeting, the foreign diplomatic personnel present in our country was able to learn about the situation of the health sector in Spain, the strengths of their companies and the role they could play in the modernization of the national health system in their home country, in some of the most important areas related to the production, distribution and access to medicines or the updating of the hospital and health network, through the improvement of technologies and services provided to patients.
