Assessment of the General State Budget 2018

CEOE IN FAVOUR OF INCREASED INVESTMENT, MORE TRAINING AND MORE R+D+I

Awaiting detailed information on the general State Budget for 2018 (PGE-2018), which will be made public at the beginning of April, CEOE would like to see a budget focused on increased investment, more training and R+D+i, as well as a reduction of public spending and more efficiency in all the Public Administrations. In addition, there should be more significant allocations for productive investments and policies that generate activity, growth and employment. However, and in light of the contents of the press conference held after the Council of Ministers, the PGE 2018 seems to be clearly influenced by the current political scenario, based on an increase in spending supported by an overestimation of the forecast for revenues.
