CEOE BELIEVES THAT THE RAISE OF THE MINIMUM SALARY PUTS SOCIAL DIALOGUE INTO QUESTION

CEOE believes that the proposal from PSOE and Podemos to raise the minimum salary to €900 in 2019 puts Social Dialogue into question.

The Minimum Salary for 2018

The measure will have negative consequences in public procurement agreed upon with companies and also in the collective agreements in force.

The Minimum Salary for 2018 is set at €735/month. The Agreement signed on December 26, 2017, between the Government, the trade unions and the business associations established that, if real GDP grew by more than 2.5% and the number of people registered with the social security increased by an average of 450,000 persons, the Minimum salary would go up to €773 / month in 2019 and to €850 / month in 2020.
