CEOE AND CASA ÁFRICA WELCOME THE ENERGY AND MINES COMMISSIONER FOR ECOWAS, SEDIKO DOUKA

The Vice President of the International Relations Commission, Carmen Planas, took part in the meeting.

This morning,  the vice president of CEOE’s International Relations Commission, Carmen Planas, and the General Director of Casa África, Luis Padrón, welcomed the Energy and Mines Commissioner for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS ), Sediko Douka, at a conference held at CEOE’s headquarters and attended by the Assistant Director General of Mediterranean Countries, Africa and the Middle East, Myriam Pérez Nogueira and the Vice President of the Consortium for the International Promotion of the Spanish Renewable Energies Industry, Miguel Arrarás as well as by more than 40 companies in the Spanish energy sector.

The vice president of CEOE’s International Relations Commission highlighted the growing interest of Spanish companies in the African continent, especially those related to the energy sector, due to the constant increase in energy demand in Africa and the vast experience and knowledge of the Spanish companies operating in this sector. She also highlighted the existing presence of Spanish companies in the region, especially in photovoltaic projects, in countries such as Senegal, Ghana, Niger and Burkina Faso and she specifically commended the outstanding work carried out by Spanish companies in South Africa.
