The PROMOCIONA project was created by CEOE and the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, to promote the access of women to top management positions.  It is currently in its sixth edition and of the fourth previous editions, 45% of the participants have already been promoted within their companies.

In his speech, Juan Carlos Tejeda highlighted that “having access to equal opportunities is a clear competitiveness requirement that we, at CEOE, are determined to promote, favouring diversity and the incorporation of women to the business world, especially into top management positions and Boards of Directors, where their rates of participation are lower than in other tiers”.  He stressed the good results achieved by Promociona: 437 participants from 260 companies in five editions and 45% out of the first four have already been promoted.

This program also tries to raise awareness among companies and encourage a commitment. To this end, companies are contacted beforehand, and they are the ones who propose that candidates will participate in the Project and agree to actively pursue their promotion once the project comes to an end.
