Antonio Garamendi, re-elected president of CEPYME for the next four years

Fátima Báñez, Minister of Employment and Social Security, attended the closing of the Electoral General Assembly of the Confederation

The Minister of Employment and Social Security, Fatima Báñez, attended the General Electoral Assembly. She highlighted the recovery of employment and the role of SMEs in this process: "7 out of 10 jobs have been created by SMEs." Thus, Fatima Báñez said, “we need a higher number of companies and more competitive ones" and thanked employer organizations and entrepreneurs for their contribution to Spain’s economic and social progress.

In his address to the General Assembly after being re-elected president, Antonio Garamendi referred to the socioeconomic situation, highlighting the dynamism of the labour market and the need to keep structural reforms up to date, "deepening those that have been more successful, such as the labour reform, and undertaking new pending policies that would reinforce productivity growth, business activity and employment ".
