CaixaBank and CEOE renew their agreement and expand their line of credit for companies to €15 billion

The President of CaixaBank, Jordi Gual, and the President of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), Juan Rosell, have signed an agreement of collaboration to offer CEOE’s member companies a €15 billion line of credit. The goal of the agreement is to offer an effective option to companies in order to help them in their internationalization, entrepreneurship and the development of innovation projects.

The agreement, called CarácterEmpresa, represents the renewal of the agreement signed between both institutions in 2015. Thus, in two years, CaixaBank will have facilitated financing to CEOE’s member companies in the amount of €26 billion. Jordi Gual, President of CaixaBank, highlighted during the signing of the agreement that “this agreement will favour the modernization of companies, their leap into new national and international markets and all this should contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Spanish economy and the creation of new jobs.”

Meanwhile, Rosell said that “the new line of credit for entrepreneurship projects enables reaching an important number of start-up and SME entrepreneurs, with the aim of helping them during the first stages of their entrepreneurial adventure. The other two lines of credit in internationalization and innovation serve, in addition, to reinforce strategic lines that are very important for companies, such as opening up to new foreign markets, creativity and R + D + i to allow companies to increase their competitiveness. "
